‘Christian Woman’ is about how when you are raised a certain way you look at everything through that same moral lens. It's mostly about the transition of "self" after the realization of the absurd nature of looking at things the way someone else wants you to, instead of in your own way. It's about understanding our ingrained animal nature and distancing ourselves from moral ambiguities. Christian Woman was originally written on and for acoustic guitar but the electronic platform captures the essence of the song in a more complete way, making it raw and less refined.
“My hope is that people will listen to it, fight to it, make up to it, and it lives and breathes like anything else, becoming a part of their world."

lyrics
You walk the line I live alone inside your empty body
You've had enough but I'm just getting started
I fail to see what point of view you could pose now
On and on all night till the devil can stop me
You take the time to walk away it's how you use your body
You give it up but I'm just getting started
Now come to me, get on your knees, strike a pose now
On and on all night tell heaven to stop me
Don't let me fade away Christian Woman
I've built all my courage from steeples of churches
Don't let me stay the same
I need your permission for every position
You cut the line hang up the phone, you feel the night is coming
I pass the test, take off your dress, you know it's what you wanted
I'd pay to see what you would do with control
I'll play your God tonight, no one has to know

After I discovered GUNSHIP with UNICORN, I went through all their material in a rush. They're whole discography is great, and I think this is the greatest. This album haunts me. I can't listen to it once. Even if I turn it off, I still hear it echoing in the back of my mind. GUNSHIP has a mastery of the bridge that reaches the level of mastery in this album that's just unrivaled. If you get only one album from GUNSHIP, get this one. Mailanka

Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
